EGU General Assemly 2024
The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe, fostering fundamental geoscience research, alongside applied research that addresses key societal and environmental challenges.
Established in September 2002 as a merger of the European Geophysical Society (EGS) and the European Union of Geosciences (EUG), the non-profit international union counts about 19,500 members from all over the world. The annual EGU General Assembly is the largest and most prominent European geosciences event. The meeting’s sessions cover a wide range of topics, including volcanology, planetary exploration, the Earth’s internal structure and atmosphere, climate, as well as energy and resources.
This time the event takes place in Vienna, from 14 to 19 April, with a dense program (the sessions agenda will be published on the EGU General Assembly 2024 website on the 7th of March.
We are thrilled to announce that the FAIR-EASE abstract "Pangeo environment in Galaxy Earth System supported by Fair-Ease" has been accepted in the session "ESSI2.9 – Seamless transitioning between HPC and cloud in support of Earth Observation, Earth Modeling and community-driven Geoscience approach PANGEO".
The early-bird registration for the event is available until 18 March 2024, 13:00 CET. Moreover the event offers the possiblity to the newest participants to be guided by more experienced attendees, through a mentorship program that have proven very successful in the previous editions (https://www.egu.eu/outreach/mentoring/). Applications for both mentors and mentees can be submitted until 18 March.
