The Galaxy Community Conference (GCC) is an annual conference focused on the use and development of the Galaxy platform for data-intensive biomedical research. The conference brings together scientists, software developers, and trainers of Galaxy from a variety of disciplines to share their experiences, knowledge, and skills.

Join us for an exciting webinar hosted by FAIR-EASE partners Sebastian Mieruch and Reiner Schlitzer from the Alfred Wegener Institute, Bremerhaven, GERMANY. This event will cover the newly updated BGC-Argo Global Profiles ODV collection, accessible at webODV. The collection is now updated on a daily basis, ensuring it reflects the most recent and complete version of the BGC-Argo data provided by the Argo data centres. Webinar Details:

The JpGU Meeting 2024 will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture for six days from May 26 to 31, 2024. The coming meeting will be held in a hybrid format, as was the case in previous two meetings. While retaining the advantages of the hybrid format, including the ability to allow participation from remote locations, we will be able to hold more full-fledged face-to-face discussion. I hope that many of the participants will come to the venue to meet face to face and engage in a frank exchange of ideas and opinions.

INRAE and its partners launch the third edition of the French Data Spring event ("Printemps de la donnée" is the official name). The event is taking place from 19 March to 27 June, and will involve several local exhibitions throughout France.

The EOSC Winter School was conceptualised following a suggestion at the European Commission’s June coordination meeting, which identified a significant collaboration gap in the Horizon Europe (HE) EOSC-related projects.

The webinar will give information about the Blue-Cloud initiative and more details about the architecture and approach for the Blue-Cloud DD&AS. More information will be given about the Blue-Cloud 2026 activity for optimizing the FAIRness of the DD&AS and the web services of its federated (BDIs). Moreover, it will provide insight how a few BDIs are managing their networks of data originators in order to provide harmonised and FAIR discovery and access to their collected data resources, using and promoting best practices and standards.

The Global Conference on Biodiversity and Monitoring is organized by GEO BON and its partners between 10-13 October 2023 in Montreal, Canada.

The European Global Ocean Observing System (EuroGOOS) promotes, since 1994, the development of Operational Oceanography in Europe as the component of the Global Ocean Observing System of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC GOOS). Every three years the EuroGOOS conference provides a forum for marine scientists and technologists developing operational oceanography products, and the users of these services including decision and policy-makers as well as the private sector.
